AC Milan have entered a vital stage of their hunt for a new manager, and a decision needs to be made soon about their next manager.

The situation regarding the successor of Stefano Pioli is reminiscent of the story of the predecessor. Milan sat on the fence about Pioli for several months and seemed close to an end on several occasions, but no outcome was found other than continuation.

As the season has progressed, reports have linked the Rossoneri to several managers. Some are still entwined with the managerial position, others have fallen, but it cannot be denied that the reluctance to move from the 58-year-old may have hurt the Diavolo’s chances at certain candidates.

Now, though, Milan have entered a crucial stage. Pioli has two games left as manager, and no candidate has the job of replacing him. However, two candidates are standing out for the club, as revealed in a report earlier today.

One of those is Sergio Conceicao, who has quickly gained popularity among figures at the club and is in a strong position to be the next manager of the club. Today, this position has been strengthened.

As Record (via Francesco Nasato on X) reports, the Portuguese manager met with Marseille earlier this week to discuss his future, and he is believed to have rejected their proposals. Given reports have suggested that he will leave Porto, and if Milan want him, they seemingly have a good chance of his arrival.
